The many wonders of Moroccan prickly pear seed oil

It may seem that prickly pear oil is the latest hype. But did you know that the oil has been used for over 300 years to treat burns and as a skincare.

Mira’s Hand Virgin pure prickly pear oil has been used for ages by the women of Morocco on a daily basis and during their weekly hammam routine on their skin and hair.

Wild crafted from small batches, our single origin oil contains the highest amount of Vitamin E in any skin care oil. In fact Prickly pear contains 150% more Vitamin E than its Moroccan cousin argan oil.

The prickly pear fruit also known as the Barbary fig is harvested by hand, cut open, the flesh and seeds are separated and the seeds are lied out in the Southern Moroccan sun to dry. Each tiny little seed contains about 5% oil and therefor it takes a literal tonne of seeds to produce one litre of this precious oil.

Key benefits:

  • Slows down skin ageing
  • Plumps out fine lines and wrinkles
  • Reduces dark circles and sunspots
  • Helps repair damaged skin
  • Fades scars
  • Tightens pores
  • Anti-inflammatory

Pure Moroccan Prickly Pear Seed oil is a potent moisturiser that slows down the signs of ageing. This SLOW ageing soothing and nourishing oil is extremely rich in Amino Acids, Vitamin K and antioxidants and helps to brighten dark eye circles and pigmentation and to restore elasticity.

Use it in place of a serum alone or under your usual facial product. The oil is quickly absorbed into skin without leaving any residue.

Pure prickly pear seed oil is richer in weight and texture than argan oil and ideal for all skin types.

The scent of pure prickly pear oil can be described as sour dried hay. However once applied, the scent doesn’t linger.
